Screening of 3 Short Films: Yard of the Month, Perfect Attendance, and The Jap Room
Originally screened at the Expecting Goodness film festivals in Spartanburg, South Carolina, these films are each based on short stories written by acclaimed South Carolina authors.
The comedies Yard of the Month (written and directed by Brag Wagster, and an Expecting Goodness Best Editing Award winner) and Perfect Attendance (written and directed by Julie Sexeny, and an Expecting Goodness Audience Award winner) are based on stories by Ron Rash and George Singleton respectively. The Jap Room (directed by Eduard V. Gudakov, and adapted by Eduard V. Gudakov, Maksim V. Gudakov, Adam Rudd, and Chaz Scovel) is based on a story by Pam Durban, also named winner of the 2008 Goodheart Prize for Fiction.
Following the screenings, Durban will discuss The Jap Room.
