Exhibits Honoring Pat Conroy as Teacher (October 6, 2017)

Part of the Pat Conroy Literary Festival, Oct 19-22, and the Beaufort Theatre Company's production of Conrack: The Musical, October 13-22, two exhibitions will be on display at the University of South Carolina Beaufort Center for the Arts lobby, beginning on Friday, October 6, through Sunday, October 22. Both exhibits honor Pat Conroy's role as teacher and mentor, in keeping with this year's festival theme of the Transformative Power of Education.

Guided Tour of the Former Beaufort High School (now Beaufort Middle School, 2501 Mossy Oaks Rd.), where Pat Conroy was a student for his junior and senior years and where he returned to teach for two years following his graduation from The Citadel and before his year of teaching on Daufuskie Island. The ninth annual Pat Conroy Literary Festival will be held November 1-2, 2024, in beautiful Beaufort, South Carolina. Join us as we honor Pat Conroy’s legacy as student, teacher, and mentor through our 2024 festival.

Presented by the Pat Conroy Literary Center the annual festival will be held as a series of author presentations and panel discussions, writing workshops, exhibits, and virtual tours.
