Join Jennifer Daniels and Jeff Neal for ninety minutes of fast-paced, interactive tips and tricks for songwriting. We’ll run exercises that will empower you to pursue your own unique voice with confidence. Subjects include: Am I too old (or young) to start now? What do I write about? How do I escape writer’s block? Tell me the truth—do I suck? And the ever-popular: This was so good yesterday, but now it is trash. It’s a playful sort of workshop where we’ll make fast friends and marvelous music.
About our instructor:
Jennifer Daniels Neal is an award-winning singer/songwriter, author, and teaching artist with the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga. She and her guitar-hero husband, Jeff Neal, have released nine music albums, a picture book, and two human children into the world (boy/girl twins, so…bonus!). The Locke Box is Jenn’s first novel and the first time she has released a project under her married name (not counting the kids). There are more to come! (Books and songs. Not kids.) Jenn and the fam live on Lookout Mountain in Georgia, where there are mountain lions, excellent bike trails, and a one-hundred-pound tongue inside of a black lab named Ziggy Marley.
